4th edition
10-24 October 2022
DETAILED PROGRAM 2022
The Festival European Polyphony celebrates its 4th edition, from October 10th to 24th, 2022.
During 15 days, the festival presents an ambitious program crossing classical music, photography, cinema and musical evening parade, and transforms the Medieval City of Rhodes into a big interactive music workshop combining arts, culture, and creativity. The Festival European Polyphony highlights the city of Rhodes as a meeting place for cultures, audiences and disciplines and aims to be a place of creation, connection and proximity between artists and audiences, through the transmission and discovery of art and classical music.
The program of the 4th edition will feature international artists such as Tõnu Kaljuste and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC), winners of two Grammy Awards. The chamber choir Mikrokosmos, already known to the audience in Rhodes, and the Transe Express Company with their opera and giant doll show, will join the musical program. Beyond the live show, the public will experience an immersive photo exhibition by photographer Riccardo Fisichella and sound creations by Chrysanthos Antoniou, as well as projections of the film "Passion" directed by Gabriel Mirété on the island of Rhodes.
All events are free to the public. Reservation is needed for the concerts, screenings and workshops.
